तुलसी मीठे बचन तें, सुख उपजत चहुँ ओर। बसीकरन इक मंत्र है, परिहरु बचन कठोर॥

Meaning: Sweet words spread happiness all around; this is the one mantra to win every heart, so give up harsh words.

दया धर्म का मूल है, पाप मूल अभिमान। तुलसी दया न छाँड़िए, जब लग घट में प्रान॥

Meaning: Compassion is the root of dharma and pride the root of sin; as long as there is life in the body, don't give up compassion.

तुलसी साथी बिपति के, बिद्या बिनय बिबेक। साहस सुकृत सुसत्य ब्रत, राम भरोसो एक॥

Meaning: In trouble, learning, humility, judgement, courage, good deeds, truthfulness and faith in God are the true companions.

काम क्रोध मद लोभ की, जौ लौं मन में खान। तौ लौं पंडित मूरखौ, तुलसी एक समान॥

Meaning: As long as desire, anger, pride and greed fill the mind, there is no difference between the learned and the fool.

आवत ही हरषै नहीं, नैनन नहीं सनेह। तुलसी तहाँ न जाइए, कंचन बरसे मेह॥

Meaning: Don't go where no one is happy at your arrival and there is no warmth in their eyes, even if gold rains there.

तुलसी इस संसार में, भाँति भाँति के लोग। सबसे हिल मिल चालिए, नदी नाव संजोग॥
