Vastu for the sitting / drawing room: direction and rules
According to Vastu Shastra, the best direction for the sitting / drawing room is North, North-east or East.
| Best direction | North, North-east or East |
|---|---|
| Do | Keep light colours and open space; place heavy furniture in the south-west. |
| Avoid | Don't keep heavy items in the north-east. |
In a house that is already built, demolition is not needed; cleanliness, light and moving things around fix most issues.
